whatever this native audio upload player substack is using… not good
the audio is very compressed and squashed on this lil jawn which is a shame.
it must have converted down to mp3 because i can’t hear lil shwartys croispy high end.
i guess it’s probably better to drive traffic to another link though - spotify, bandcamp…
but i like having this big play button and i like that I can listen to music at 2x speed.1
i can only embed one audio file at a time though so it might be better to add music from bandcamp. the only thing that is annoying about that, is that i would then have to publish the song or audio file to bandcamp and link it from there or something.
not the worst idea because it would drive traffic to my bandcamp but still…
maybe i could make an ongoing list of the music that i include on this website and then either make a working album of that stuff - i don’t know.2
i’m also wondering about your video features and when this will be available, substack. i am very excited for that; however i’m wondering if it might be better to drive traffic elsewhere, as detailed above, and if this feature is similar to the embedded audio functionality it might not be worth it.
video is going to be a central component to this project and i need to consider what will best serve these pieces moving forward. vimeo, youtube, or you substack. i would like the video to be the highest possible quality - i feel the same way about the audio.
i really like you substack, but i think with these changes, we could really make something special together.

i never read the one big famous book by david foster wallace
about court jesters playing tennis... 3
because it looks uncomfortable to read.
it’s such a large book - it might be difficult to really find a comfortable way of sitting or laying down to really…
you know, dig in.
but the man could dress -
a very cool and very,
emo pirate.
“i never even had a tumblr.”
most of all, this is a test. i’m testing the functionality of you, substack, to understand firstly, how you work, and secondly, how you can best meet my needs and wants during this ongoing collab.
while we’re at it, i would also like to be able to place a footnote anywhere on the page. i can’t place a footnote in the caption of an image, a header, and a poetry block. these limitations make me feel stifled creatively.4 i’d also like to be able to caption the podcast audio / any and all media links.
in the near future, (my next post and probably all the rest after that) everything uploaded to this page, will be created by me, daniel - i’m sorry it took so long to introduce myself. i don’t want to put any limitations on what this space can hold and what it might become, but for the most part, anything that appears here will have been made by me unless otherwise specified.5
a sort of multimedia excursion here, with big beautiful plans for the future.
i am excited to continue contributing to our shared space.
look up nightcore
it would be good to be able to post any audio file onto this website and have it play without having to link to another media platform. i want to make my pieces more fragmented and having that as a feature would allow me to be more creative with this ongoing project.
…but i did put dmt in the blunt and now my life feels infinite
my suggestions are legitimate and would be welcome features but i am thankful, substack, and i hope i’m not coming across as too demanding or controlling. i’m mainly joking around to build a sort of rapport. i like you a lot. i hope that doesn’t sound too parasocial, but i feel parasocial around you, what can i say. i don’t want to control you and i don’t mean to come on too strong. you are already absolutely goated with the sauce and i won’t forget what you’ve done for me in this short time. hopefully our working relationship can continue to flourish and we can build upon what i see as a strong sticking place and guiding light for the future of our collaboration. i am indeed hopeful, and you are indeed goated with the sauce busting it down sexual style.
i am not ANTWON.
