I want to close my eyes with you. I have this feeling, That I want to be your atmosphere. To protect you. That I could float around you, and create a gravity to warm you. But I don’t want to control you. And that atmospheric quality could move around you and rotate towards your heart in a spiraling motion. But I want to be lighter, so as not to inhibit the heights to which you might go by yourself. That I could be like a moon that might steady who you already are and who you might become. Each time you see me I’ve changed by nature of the gravity outside of each solitude. And you’ll feel my expansion and motion with the passage of time, and when we meet the space in between us feels renewed by a sense of familiarity in our shared circulating rhythms. Could you close your eyes with me? So that instead of a pervading atmosphere, I could be a planet in your planetary orbit, that you close your eyes with.
